The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Attainment for Pupil Premium Pupils on entry to the school is generally lower than the average for the main cohort. However, attainment shows many areas where the differences are diminished between pupils in receipt of the pupil premium and those that are not. Achievement, attainment and progress, for pupils in receipt of the premium are considered carefully by each Head of Department.
